Welcome!  I’m Beatrice Perron Dahlen, the hand knitwear designer behind Thread & Ladle.  I am a Mom, full time educator, artist, knitter, sewer, and gardener who dabbles in LOTS of creative hobbies.  

I published my first knitting pattern in 2012 while home with my first newborn.  Since then, I have published many independent patterns as well as patterns with Taproot Magazine, Knitscene, Knit.Purl, Interweave Knits, Pom Pom Quarterly, and with various yarn companies.  In 2017 I self published a book funded by a Kickstarter campaign called Maine Knits.  

My hope is that my knitting patterns support your creative practice and empower you to knit the beautiful things you are excited about making.
